Win Tickets to the RHS show in CardiffOur friends at Cardiff Council and the RHS have given me Five pairs of tickets to give away to the excellent RHS Cardiff Show ![]() Trowels at the ready - the RHS Show Cardiff returns to the parklands of Cardiff Castle during the weekend of April 17-19 for the first outdoor event of the Royal Horticultural Society season, bringing the best of the spring blooms from nurseries across the UK, with ideas and inspiration for the growing season ahead. Attractions including an Interactive Allotment with a presenter giving on-site practical tips, show gardens created by the finest Welsh horticultural talent, and the ever popular schools wheelbarrow competition which gets the youngsters interested in the soil from an early age. Amongst the garden creations on show is The Really Fit Garden by designer and broadcaster Lynne Allbutt, a creative way to encourage exercise through gardening, and featuring outdoor gym equipment.
Among the numerous plants and garden accessories for sale will be Duffydil bulbs, following the recent launch of the flower named after the Welsh singing sensation Duffy. The RHS honoured the Grammy award winner by naming a robust, very Welsh variety of the national flower in her name, and now fans can look forward to the Duffydil appearing in their gardens each spring. The singer was delighted with the accolade, saying: "The Duffydil, brilliant! Maybe now I can forgive myself for stealing them from people's gardens!"
