Shed of the year 2010 has been announced

Shedtype: [Normal Shed]

Features: The Church of Gardening was built for me by my husband, Matt Kizer, in 2007 as a birthday present. It has a stained glass window, a church pew, and a small statue of St. Francis. Nature is the religion here. It now has a lot of art, including clouds that Matt painted on the ceiling. He used a lot of cool, salvaged materials, such as the door and antique windows. It also has solar lighting. The garden bench is made of old barn boards, a chippy paint cabinet, and slate on top. This is the best shed in the entire world!

Maundy, I LOVE the shed. And of course it doesn't surprise me that Matt built you such a great shed!

It seems that the older your shed gets the better it becomes. Keep up the good "dirt"
by Roy L. Jordan on 04/05/2009 from 70.109.---.---

Ms. Mitchell, Once again, you have my vote...nice job. Perhaps one of these days, I'll actually see it! Jim

What a great shed! I love that you recycled so much and have solar lights. I can imagine sitting on the porch - sipping my tea _ and watching the birds in the bird bath. Might make a nice little cabin for vacation.
by Dottie on 09/11/2008 from 76.24..---.---

Wow! Of course it doesn't surprise me that two individuals of such talent and grace would have such an exquisite outbuilding...and I love the inlay in the counters. Despite all obstacles to the contrary we've got to bring the family up to visit and visit this "church". Love, The Landis clan

Very nice work, Matt! Obviously, a labor of love in every respect. Atta boy, recycling! All you need is a feed dish and some fresh water, then Rojo can spend the weekends! (Hi, Maundy!)
by Jim - Enfield, NH USA on 01/11/2008 from 71.181.---.---

Cool shed. It really fits into the surroundings without overwhelming them. Also "kotos" for using recyclables. If i had a wife i would want a shed like that. I don't have a wife but I still would like a shed like that !!! A+++
by Roy on 01/11/2008 from 64.223.---.---

Dear Maundy, This is a wonderful garden shed and I can see the love and enjoyment you have with nature. It is the perfect place to unwind and also teach David the joys of gardening. Great job Matt. I know all of you will enjoy it for years to come. Love you

Wow! I love this shed. I never would have thought of a shed being this beautiful and serene. I just want to visit there sometime soon! What a romantic husband!
by Tammy on 28/10/2008 from 71.181.---.---

Saw the work in progress and with the use of all types of recycled items, it makes a great eco friendly project and is an example of Matt's talents.
