Grumps dozes next to me while I write novels in The Plotting Shed. I sit on my tatty pink Lloyd Loom chair and he has to make do with a white plastic chair. Each day we go down the path to the shed with a mug of tea for me and a chew for him, although I also have a secret stash of chocolates (for me) and dog biscuits (for him).
The shed is filled with an eclectic mishmash of driftwood, note pads, children's paintings, trench art, family photos, chinese lanterns, and books, books, books.
It's the most relaxing place and if I'm writing in the evening with the doors open, I can hear the waves down by the nearby beach.
