Description

First year entered into Shed Of The Year 2009

Bletchley park is the official charity for shed-week 2010

The Bletchley Park Trust is aiming to preserve the core heritage of the site and to build on the work of the wartime pioneers through education and technology innovation. The Trust does not receive any public funding and therefore is dependent on money generated from donations to enable it to continue its work.

Hut 6, scene of some of the most profoundly important work of the twentieth century, the top secret breaking of German Army and Air Force Enigma ciphers by the brilliant Bletchley Park Codebreakers. Now very sadly in desperate state of decay and on the verge of collapse.

Built in wartime Bletchley Park as a temporary construction for the duration of the war. The fact that it is still standing nearly 70 years later is a miracle in itself.
