Finished and fresh out in the sunny. Anyone for tea.!!! Drop down window/shutter which we added as it will be used as a bird hide at its new home...so we needed more window space. On route to its new home...with the help of our Series One land Rover 1950...

Shed of the year 2010 has been announced

Shedtype: [Hut]

Features: Kimberly is a very original Shepherds Hut.I have just finished putting her in running order over the last two years since she came in the barn.We got her from a real shepherd who moved up north and had to sell her.She was on a farm at Kimberly near Norwich when in use and was a meeting point in the last war for the "Home Gaurd"..She has a clover leaf hole in the side which we think the shepherd may have popped his 12 bore gun out of to bagged the odd bunny for the pot..or could have been used by the Home Gaurd if Hitlers army had made it as far as the Kimberly fields..We have kept as much of the old wood cladding as we could...most boards are mended at some point, and only had to fit 3 new boards near the door...The stove all works again ( called a Caladonian Dumpy No2) and makes a mean pot of tea..!

I noticed the stove is a caladonian , can anyone give me some information on my Caladonian queen perhaps a bit of background info and current approx value. I saw this sheperds hut in the South Wales Echo today 16/1/2010

In deed I can add provinence to the history of this shepherds hut. It was used on a farm in Kimberley as the farm workers tea hut until the mid 80s. I have had tea in this hut.
