My pubshed was built in April 2010 out of a 12 x 8, with a view to watching England march on to glory in the world cup (oh dear! guess i'll have to wait till the euro's now then!).I am trying to achieve a 'sports bar' look, and I have the bar, pumps, cooler for draught beer now fully working! Bar mirrors, 4 optics, under bar fridge/freezer, 2 lcd tv's on the wall with sky sports etc for the football/boxing/darts/f1. It has wi- fi, and the laptop is connected to an amp and speakers with spotify supplying the music jukebox. Fruit machine! Painted with cuprinol forest oak sprayable treatment!! (3 coats) Other features include a holsten pils pressed bottle clock on the wall. Also over a hundred branded glasses, beer mats and bar runners etc plus loads more genuine pub memorabilia, posters, lights etc. Ice blue fairy lights around the bar. I serve icy cold cans and bottled beers, red/white wine and on the optics we have bombay saphire, vodka, jack daniels and Gordon's! All the electrical work was carried out by my brother in law/great mate who is a qualified sparky (lucky for me!) and everything else I have done myself. The reaction when people first walk through the door is superb "oh my god...it's like a real boozer!" that alone is worth all the hard work! still loads of work to do yet, and I will keep uploading the pic's as it happens! ** Search for 'Three Lions Pubshed' on Facebook to join our group to see more vid's & pic's/ news etc!**
I believe that our project is a true 'Pub-Shed' in every sense of the word, as 'It used to be my shed, and now it's my pub!!' :-) I have already had many great nights with friends & family in the 3 lions, and I very often have the lad's round on a sat or sunday afternoon watching the footy on sky and sampling a few cold one's, whilst enjoying the 'sports bar' atmosphere. In my opinion there is nothing better than getting the boy's round for the match and havin a few sharp ones in the 3 lions without having to leave the confines of my own back garden. priceless! Can't wait for the euro's to start now! Come on England!! Cheer's for looking, Jamie.
