Shed Information

Description

My shed is unique as it was designed to fit within the only space i had available in my garden to build it. It is planned to accommodate an existing tree rather than fell it, it is clad in rough sawn larch in order that it weathers to become part of the gardens backdrop rather than standout and it provides a fully functional heated and insulated space for both working and storage. it is a valuable and practical extension to my house

Other Information

My shed / garden office replaces a rotten off the shelf shed that was in my garden when i bought the house around 4 years ago. It was designed and constructed by myself over a period of 3 months or so and houses a desked area for working, some shelved storage as well as a separate store for tools and traditional shed like stuff. It is timber framed and clad in rough sawn larc both inside and out. all windows are double glazed. it was construed on an extremely tight budget and as such has required innovative, but cheap construction techniques

First year entered into Shed Of The Year competition 2011
