    Shed Features

One of my earliest memories is going with my parents and grandparents to the coast for the weekend. We borrowed a friend's beach hut for the day. My mother said it was Littlehampton, my father says it was Southwold! I remember digging in the sand with a lovely little dog- a terrier called Sandy- who belonged to the elderly couple in the hut next door which was called Happy Days. They sat on deckchairs to the front with my family. It was a baking hot day, I was in a little yellow and white gingham sundress and sunhat and was 2 or 3. That's when I discovered bliss, and how happy I am the beach.

    Other Shed info

2 years ago we had our old shed at the top of the garden broken into. We decided to reconfigure the space, pulled down the broken shed, build a bigger workshop instead and move the potting shed to the top patio. I had already painted it to look like a beach hut although it only housed plant pots when I sent my husband out for duck egg wood stain and he came back with Hawaiian blue exterior paint!! So we turned the shed round to face the field we back onto, cleared and cleaned the patio it sat on and I decorated it inside and out. Fairly lights surround it outside but seeing another on here has given me the idea to clad the inside of the ceiling with fairy lights too. Thank u! I painted and decorated it, my husband put in an additional real wood floor and insulation in and now it is my writing studio for my first novel. Although not by the sea I have sea pictures up in a pretend window with shutters, a table fountain and a cd of just waves! It haspower, light and a heater and it is an office, workshop, retreat and summerhouse all in one.
