The Shark Shebeen is a rugby shrine for any Natal Sharks supporter whose living in Kent or outside Southern Africa. Shebeen in the Black Southern African language derives from the meaning of "Illegal Tavern" although not used as such, the name has been used. We are extremely passionate about our rugby union and with the limited coverage we receive, we make the best of each occasion. With each game we complete the evening with a good SA "braai" (barbecue) and a few social drinks. This shed/cabin is used excessively throughout the long southern hemisphere rugby season and even more so during the world cup series where all countries are supported. Such existence has prompted our neighbours on all corners to install such sheds/cabins in their gardens.
The shed was professionally built to purpose and features a double door with windows on different walls. Its features include being fully electrified for self sufficient social use, decking on two sides to provide additional walking/social space, a functional pub, TV and a brick built barbecue. We have over the years fully insulated the walls and ceilings and after its recent revamp, should be good for the cold winter evenings.
