This is a shed with a difference-one for quiet contemplation and good wine. Its name is Ty Arthur - Arthur's House. Around it is a carpet of bluebells, above it is a magnificent Welsh hillside and at its feet is a sparkling brook rushing down between the trees from the hills above.
It was built in 1922 standing on a rocky outcrop and was the tiny home of an old seafarer(Arthur) who had saied on the SS Great Britain. On his return from the sea he lived here alone, using candles for light, wood from the surrounding woodland for his fire and the stream for water. this remains the same for us today.
It is built entirely of wood with a brick chimney, an old red-tiled floor and an original cast iron range. Against the walls are timber lockers used for storage and seating made from mature Welsh oak. And the kettle sings happily suspended over the fire on a chain - a magical place
