After watching the Amazing Spaces programme on TV my wife asked me if I would build her a small beach hut in our back garden for her 60th birthday. It is situated on our patio and my wife has decorated it out with many beach materials, pictures and mementoes. A friend recorded on cd the sound of the sea so she can go sit in her beach hut, closes her eyes and believe she is at the beach!!!
Built it from scratch, buying timber from the local merchants, simple design by myself, insulated throughout and decorated using Cuprinol garden shades.
