The retreat has a wonderful aroma of Grenadian spice as soon as you walk in. It has a day bed, stereo and small momentous from trips away. The roof is lined with pink and purple folded voile, embroidered with butterflies . The Moroccan tapestry cushions complete the look.It has a small water feature,a hummingbird, butterflies, angels wings,a red velvet rocking chair and shelf for special books.I can escape down to the bottom of the garden close my eyes and drift away ...
This was very much a budget shed that I bought locally. I then set about painting it with Cuprinol Seagrass on the outside , which totally transformed it and some left over Dulux African Adventure , ( that I had used in my living room) inside. There is also an array of pinks and purples. Many of the basic finds were purchased from eBay, & discount fabric shops. I planted orange honeysuckle either side of the porch, and have added more plants and charity shop gems as I find them . Everything in my shed makes me smile when I look at it.There is electricity and heating , so I can use it all year round. I hope you like it as much as I do!
