My gorgeous shed sits in a Japanese garden. It is a tranquil Zen style retreat away from the house from which views of the garden can be enjoyed all year round. Wisteria wanders over it adding to the Oriental atmosphere. Sheltered and secluded, facing the setting sun, it is a perfect place for reading and winding down at 6 o'clock with a glass of wine. My cats love it too!
It has evolved from a basic mail order kit summerhouse. A strong and willing friend and I erected it over a weekend but the electrics, fittings, decorating etc took quite a bit longer. The colours are from the Cuprinol garden range - black on the outside and floor, cream on the inside walls and a mixture of the two to create the grey on the ceiling.
