Once a local old BT Telephone Exchange (made of Honduras Mahogany) which was unscrewed and moved to this site in 1996 and used as an artist's studio since then. Full of character in an idyllic setting overlooking open countryside.
It has been enhanced internally many times and added to externally - mainly to allow the artist and students to paint in all weathers. It's snug in winter thanks to a log burning stove and well insulated in summer. Two additional platforms front and rear create shelter from the sun/wind/rain.( bane of all artists painting 'plein air'.) However the siting of the shed overlooking open countryside affords a unique opportunity to study and paint the flora and fauna that abounds.
