Built with no plans and no experience and my girls love it.
4ft x8ft. Built partly from recycled material and took 6 months to build. Due to space available I added a loft space to give more room for my daughters to play. Ground floor set out as a traditional playhouse, cooker, sink, table, chairs and cupboards etc - built using a mixture of bought and salvaged materials (mostly pallets). First floor is a free-play area with carpet tiles and seat/storage unit at one end - girls have to be more inventive/adventurous on this floor. All the windows are functional and designed after studying my caravan windows, same principle, due to lack of space for full window frames. When I started this project I planned a simple single storey playhouse, but as my confidence grew, so did the playhouse. As this took six months to build it allowed me to spread the cost of building it over those months, making it an affordable project.
