The shed is on wheels and is constructed of Illustrated woodcut boards from the Printmaking department University of Gloucestershire. It was constructed by myself and then decorated by three 1st year illustration students, Tom Maclean, Sophie Russell and Meg Tallis. They wanted to give a second life to all the woodcut print boards that had been used in the print department, it also gave them an opportunity to construct their own special hideaway to sit, draw and read.
The basis of the shed was constructed on a horticultural trolley bought via ebay. The students decorated the shed with woodcut boards that had been left in the print studio. The images on the shed are the designs of students studying illustration and printmaking. Its a shed to sit in a read, a shed of imagination, a shed of illustration.
