    Shed Features

Shed du Chemin Vert, has been built to shelter us from rain , sunshine, seagulls and other allotmenteers.
Constructed over 3 years, as the materials became available. The tool and other stuff storage is a GRP access panel and door from a redundant electricity sub station. A timber frame is attached to the panel to form the external sides and roof. The base is formed using decaying stone window frames set into the ground and at the front gabions, made from salvaged wire mesh. These were filled with waste hard-core and stones that came out of the vegetable beds. The sides are clad with scraps of timber from pallets, packing cases, door frames and old collapsed sheds. The roof is a composite of 2 sheets of aluminium, with a sheet of plastic in the middle.
