    Shed Features

My shed is tucked away in a tranquil corner at the top of our upper garden area, behind mature trees and shrubs. It overlooks hubby's fishpond and the lawned lower garden closer to the house
I have chosen a soft, feminine colour scheme of aqua and pink for the interior, inspired by a beachside restaurant we visited on holiday in Antigua in 2018. I've added natural elements and photo images collected on my travels, along with fairy lights and a tented ceiling to soften the look. My shed has a very restful feel to it and was designed to be a place for me to craft, read, listen to music, drink coffee, listen to the birds and just relax...

    Other Shed info

The shed was purchased in May 2018 and has been gradually added to, making it into the retreat I wanted to create. I levelled and laid the base prior to its delivery from a local company who erected it on site. The inside was painted white straight away and over the past two years I have added two small storage cupboards rescued from the local recycling centre and three vintage Lloyd Loom chairs which I bought cheaply, spray painted and re- upholstered. I made the floral pom pom cushions, bunting, up-cycled the circular wall display unit and have used an inexpensive Turkish hammam towel as a rug.
I recently painted the outside in Cuprinol Fresh Rosemary and put up an old fence panel to house the up-cycled half pallet which I painted the same colour to house small pot plants. Power has just been installed too, thanks to my friendly electrician neighbour, so I can now boil the kettle without a trip back down to the house and hubby can run his new waterfall pond pump to keep the water clear, happy days!...
