The Den was purposely designed to provide a break out area for the family. For me it was an area to practice darts being a keen amateur player, my teenage daughter a place to socialise with friends and my wife a place to read but importantly together a place where we could enjoy our garden.
The Den construction is mainly insulated plywood panels which sit on an insulated joints/flooring deck. All insulated panels are over 200mm insulation and this was built to the building regulations 2017. There is bi-folding doors and a window area that provide thermal gain in the colder days but this is backed up with a log stove or an infrared panel heater should you just need to take the chill of in the winter.
There is also an area of decking that really projects the stature of the room.
Fully supplied with electric which has its own consumer unit, the log burning stove, Siberian Larch cladding.
