The Forge and Flagon is hidden away in the heart of rural Leicestershire. The Forge and Flagon was establishment in 2005, named originally after the George and Dragon pub. The George and Dragon was run by the Landlord of the Forge and Flagons Mum and Dad for 17 years and was to be a living memory of them both. It was created on a very slim budget of £250 and has recreated a 1940's pub theme of old English brasses, tankards, old pictures and good old 'PUBSOUL'.
The Forge and Flagon has established itself country wide to be a place where professional musicians can come on a night off a gig and have a strum in the very relaxed atmosphere of the Forge. We have recorded over 75 songs over the years and do a Christmas Pubcast every year using all of our musicians. The Forge and Flagon has also done 4 one hour Radio Shows that were all Live from in the Forge.Up and coming band SKINNY LISTER have been regulars at the Forge since they first got together in 2009 and have given us the honour in naming their Debut Album FORGE AND FLAGON after us. Long live the Forge and Flagon and here's to it being Britain's best kept secret.
