Fred's Shed is a hand built playhouse I made for my son Freddie, from recycled pallets, donated tin sheets, and bits and bobs from fly tips. The windows and door are double glazed and from a skip. As we rent, it had to be built so that I can relocate it either with a pallet truck or it will break down into component panels for transportation.
I decided to build Fred's Shed after going to buy my son a playhouse and being amazed at the price and poor construction - I thought I could do better myself! The only bits I bought were some ironmongery, insulation and hardboard to line the shed and make it safe to play in. When I can find them in skips, the plan is to add a fake stove pipe to the exterior and furnish the interior with salvaged furniture.
