The shed is our workplace/studio for our garden design business. Formerly semi derelict stables, we rebuilt it using as much reclaimed materials as possible. The internal walls are clad with western red cedar panels up-cycled from my 2015 Chelsea Flower Show garden for Royal Bank of Canada. The work surfaces are made from rescued hardwood deck boards and the shelves from old softwood edge boards that were heavily weathered and which I planed and sanded to give a distressed look!
During lockdown the shed has become an incredibly important space. As well as a workspace its an exercise studio, table tennis centre and a recording studio where I record my contributions to BBC Radio 4s Gardeners Question Time, and unwind by recording songs.
