A place to work, totally self built in the garden of our home. Being a listed building, I needed to get planning and listed building consent for the shed. It provides a quiet contemplative space just 3 steps from the back door.
Constructed of 100 x 50 timber framing with full fill rigid insulation. Clad internally in birch ply on vapour barrier, with shadow gap detailing. The floor is finished in industrial rubber flooring used in vehicle garages. Externally, the building is clad in Onduline sheeting on treated battens on breathing felt and OSB board. The roof is waterproofed by two layers of pond liner. A standard external quality flush door was used, also clad in Onduline. A stainless steel plate made from a kitchen splashback is across the door at handle level.
