Built from used scaffold boards obtained free of charge. Mounted on old agricultural trailer also obtained for free, found abandoned in the woods. It has been built for a steam engine enthusiast who actually owns and runs a full size loco within the estate. Sleeps 2 upstairs with twin porthole windows. Will sleep 2 downstairs with a sofa bed just inside the front door. Overall dimensions - 16ft long, 8ft wide, front section 8ft high, rear is 10.5ft high. Current resting place deep in the beechwoods / deer park overlooking the Thames above Henley.
Scaffold boards are perfect for a rigid construction. I have used a flexible sealant between each board. It has a waterproof membrane, insulation & plywood lining. Just towed it out of the garage and onto show field at the Fawley Hill Vintage Transport Rally. A bit more to do to finish the roof. A wood burning stove to fit as well as furniture / sofa bed, etc. There is a full size double mattress upstairs.
