Features

Designed by Cheshire Robbins a class architect in the 70's for the Highcliffe Sailing Club as a start hut for yacht races, looks out 8 miles to the Needles, Isle Of Wight, 8 miles away. It is 7 x 7and a half foot, has a pyramid roof with a spike pointing to the North Star and a 13x7 foot verandah. It looks great with a flagpole and underneath the support structure could only have been envisaged by someone adept in the art and science of thinking in three dimensions.

Other info

I have written it all up at my beach hut "sheddies" web-site msbnews over the last 3 or 4 years. It was first mentioned in my beach hut paper version newspaper the Hengistbury Head Times in Summer 2004 ( page 12 onwards) and ever since it has had honourable mentions on the website and is the source and location for continuing musings on "sheddie" life on the beach
