This is one of four temporary sheds built for the team commissioning the external lighting for the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. We used them to program lighting from, and this one also formed our base. Other than the lighting console, almost all accessories were supplied by Carrefour supermarket. Note the fridge, assorted cooking utensils, and the amazing rechargeable fan/light/radio/cassete-player. An external barbecue area and relaxation/work area also featured. Note also the pink shower curtains nailed to the ceiling in an attempt to keep the leaks off the console when the thunder, lightning and torrential rain came on...
This shed was on the yet-to-be-landscaped side of the site and was therefore surrounded with desert sand. In this shed the intrepid lighting team survived sand-storms, thunder, lightning, torrential rain, ridiculous working hours, crap coffee, an almost 100% meat-based diet, and many a technical headache. We still delivered an awesome lighting scheme. And now the sheds have served their purpose and will be taken down again. The Shed is Dead... Long Live the Shed.
oh and that caption that says "she-life" should read "shed-life". There's no trans-sexualism going on in this shed.
