This shed was and designed and built from scratch by myself in 2009. It houses my computer and AV recording systems.
It is completely insulated with Rocksilk RS60 acoustic grade wool (walls) and Celotex Polyurethane (floor and roof). It is then wrapped in a 12mm OSB, a breathable membrane and clad in Western Red Cedar. It comprises two double glazed uPVC windows to the side elevation and custom height uPVC french doors to the front; both in Light Oak.
The shed features dado trunking throughout fed from a dedicated 4 way consumer unit, which in turn is fed from the house via 6mm2 armoured cable. Also within the trunking are Sky Digital and Ethernet feeds from the main house, 5.1 surround cabling, along with component video connections which run to a ceiling mounted LCD projector. The shed is also fully alarmed via its own control unit, bell box and internal PIR. LED lighting is installed underneath the trunking to provide some "mood lighting" internally and outside there are 30 LED lights situated in the front soffit and surrounding decking; all of which are triggered at night via a sensor which runs the lights for approx. six hours. Internally the shed has a 12mm plasterboard and skim finish. Floor is 18mm T&G flooring grade chipboard and then laminated in dark oak "effect".
