Oak framed shed
I decided to use a unwanted area at the end if my garden to build a large shed,but after research into oak frame buildings fell in love with the idea if building my own,planning permission was needed and building control but after I sorted that out I started on the concrete base shuttered and poured. I built dwarf walls on top of the slab and ordered the oak beams after carefully design and much checking of sizes! Jointing of the oak was done in my garden taking lots of weekends before erection which only took a day. Since then I have done the cut roof lathed/felted and clad sides with 8" featheredge,I have now covered down the structure for tiling early next year 2014.
