The "Cosy Cottage"Tiny House is the first fully off grid eco "Tiny House on wheels' in the UK (as far as I know). It is powered by a 2.7kw eKiss kit which powers the lights, power sockets, fan for WC, kitchen and shower room. It is fully insulated in the same way as a modern house and has all the mod cons and features that you would expect to live comfortably...off the grid. The WC is a composting loo which does not require water or drainage and has a small extractor fan built in to extinguish lingering smells! The show is powered by 2 D sizes household batteries and heated via a gas bottle. The shower is capable of producing more than enough heat for a lovely hot shower. The shower heater also supplies hot and cold water to the small kitchen.
With a footprint of only 9 sq meters, it has an amazing feeling of space and does not look or feel cramped at all. Above the shower room is a full size double bed with a dormer window that over looks farm land. Being on wheels, it is capable of being towed to another location when and if you fancy moving house (quite literally!)
