    Shed Features

This shed was used in WW2 to house land girls. When I first bought our house, the shed was used as my office. I found WW2 newspapers under the lino, and decided to renovate the place, with lots of 1940s features-bakelite switches, even an Anderson shelter. I now let it out as a quirky holiday home.

    Other Shed info

The shed is built of corrugated iron with tongue and groove wood panels inside. It has a 1940s coal range with a back boiler. I have added an extension with kitchen and bathroom, including a Victorian bath, high level cistern WC and a 1950s fridge. Most of the fittings have been sourced from reclamation yards, car boot sales and ebay. There is an Anderson shelter in its garden, which originally came from this village.
