The Shed is a traditional build which began in 2011 to create a space to relax. Built by me & some friends from recycled materials hoarded over many years from demolished buildings which include a church, hospital, school, mill, pub, whisky distilleries & automotive salvage. Other than weekly social gatherings, darts nights & business, my wife & I had our wedding or shedding dance in it last year.
30 sq mtrs. Exterior is built with sandstone, slate & oak. The interior is insulated, sound proofed & wrapped with Tyvek breathable membrane. Then clad with more recycled oak, Douglas fir, elm, teak, pitch pine, spalted beech & assorted memorabilia.
