It started off as an ugly double garage (with a single up and over door). I bricked up the front and using reclaimed windows (blacked out to hide the pebble-dash walls) and with a few extras, we now have an old fashioned railway station. Inside the station is the production workshop for my live steam model railway I take to exhibitions and this joins up to the track running round the inside walls, A TV, fridge, networked computer (with a screen on each wall) makes it an ideal 'man-cave'. Every week a load of like minded blokes (who are old enough to know better) join me for a 'Railway Night' - so in a way, the station has become a club room.
The building now services the tiny miniature ride-on railway which runs round the garden. (Don't be too impressed - three times round and you're dizzy!)
