It was last years family project and we all chipped in to build it Wed never done anything like it before and Id never built anything like it just got a lot of info from the internet and I did a bricklaying course for 4 days Were planning on building a house so this was the first little tester to see how wed all get on mucking in Its currently being used for storage but Im sure itll end up being something else when we progress with the build Im planning to put some electrics in it and its already partially insulated We still have some paving to put down and a few other bits to finish but its pretty much therebr Just go what a family of DIYERS can achieve if they set their minds to it
Everything was built by hand. It has a proper foundation, concrete slab, dwarf brick walls, timber framed, insulated and clad, clay roof tiles and 100 year old windows from an old manor house. We still have some Yorkstone flags to lay, along with making a log store off to one side. We want to make it appear like a quaint little house at the bottom of the garden.
