    Shed Features

My husband and I are obsessed with America and visit each

year travelling to a different area each time covering

20003000 miles Over the years we have stayed in some

unqiue and amazing accommodations including numerous log

cabins We have always dreamt of having our own log cabin

in our own garden Our log cabin is a mixture of all

American style cabins including Adirondack Western style

New England and Mid West style We have used larch

cladding on the exterior walls and cedar shakes on the

roof to achieve the rustic style and hopefully in time

will have the desired silvery grey weathered look we are

looking to finally achieve We have used many reclaimed

materials from reclaimed silvery barnwood for the heart

shutters and tin sheeting both imported from America to

scaffold boards for the internal flooring and deck and

reclaimed timber from an old schoolhouse for the internal

walls The old sash windows were also imported The

interior decor furniture and decorations are objects

which we have picked up along the way from our travels to

Americabr br The french wood burner was bought from

eBay and the internal shelving are made from old red barns

that have been demolished and the chandelier and wall

lights were also bought from a lovely lady on eBay who

    sells french lighting for charitybr

    Other Shed info

Our shed was built by one man who lived in the woods of Maine for over 5 years. He brought our vision and dreams to reality. Everything we asked for turned out exactly as we imagined. Nothing was too much trouble and managed to put all of the reclaimed materials together and make a beautiful end product, one which should out live us both!
