It's the atmosphere in the shed that engenders creativity and artwork. It wraps around me as I work at my watercolour paintings and the decoration of the candles I make. There is a separate closed in lean-to at the far end, in which I make the candles, heating the wax in Burco boilers. I hang my candles to set from nails in the rafters. It looks good, and the aromas are lovely. When it rains, I can paddle in the leanto, as it is not waterproof, (damned builders) but wax doesn't spoil when wet, so that's okay!
It's an attractive, sturdy shed but I did have it insulated at ground level, in the walls and roof so that it doesn't get too hot in the summer and is nice and cosy and warm to work in during the winter.
