It's a fantastic entertaining, work and relaxation space which utilised the best position for the sun, equipped with wifi, heating, fridge freezer, comfortable seating, storage and a great area for outside entertaining too, the location makes it peaceful in a place that you wouldn't think so due to the level of the garden. It even has space for a toilet next door. No need to go anywhere else. During the day, it captures the sun as a summer house, evening, the colour changing lights dependent on the mood, tranquil to a disco
It's a recycled second hand, bespoke tanellised timber shed, originally 20ft by 10ft, modified to fit the space to 12ft by 9ft and erected singled handed by my dad who is a serial shed builder, to make the best use of space at the bottom of the garden which originally housed a 6ft by 2ft potting shed. Using all second hand wood for the exterior. The windows were a free find from a selling site, the door is hard wood again recycled from a selling site as is the bench for the bar. The structure of the bar area cupboards, legs and shelves is made from old fence posts saved when we had a new fence erected earlier in the year. Utilising surplus wood to make a 8ft by 5ft extension to replace the potting shed, which houses a chemical toilet. The internal shed was built by my husband, insulating with bubble wrap, wiring concealed and panelled with 5mm plywood, stained to create a warm interior and hard wearing varnish to the floor, The seating boxes are also hand made to fit the space and wood we had, the chair sets the look off which was a find from a selling site. Throws and cushions soften the hard edges, black out blinds protect privacy when not in use as well as shielding from the sun when working. The bar area is fully equipped with optics, cutlery, crockery, kettle and even a coffee machine for entertaining. The outside area has been created to hide the bins and potting shed round the back and landscaped with the sunken garden to provide some privacy from the neighbours. Built in 6 weeks of freezing temperatures in time for Christmas
