Shed was used for storage and was a waste of space, transformed into an open fronted summer house and added skylight and side window to flood the space with light, now is great for an afternoon sleep or having drinks with friends and getting cosy by the fire
Has been a labour of love and ad-hock developed in a hotchpotch manner with no real plan, gradually improved on month by month
90% materials scavenged (with permission) from the ice cream factory next door or from local skips, friends and family
Shed named 'The Limes' after my late grandparents house (the sign over the door is the actual one from their house). My grandad was a renowned shed aficionado so this is a nod to him.
Seating area inside the shed duals up as storage for the cushions during winter.
Built in seating area next to shed with built in lift up storage
3 tiered planter in the corner of shed with built in water reservoir with overflow
Rest of garden is walled, mature, and has a tropical feel so looks really nice
Wood burning stove provides heat, brass ironmongery and a disco ball finish off the look!!!
There is a curve line that starts at the outdoor seating and carries in through to the shed to join the two areas together
Built in drinks holders for every seat
Curtain can be pulled over to get some privacy
The only things purchased for the shed was the iron stove and the sheet of acrylic for the skylight, everything else was for freeeee
