Following the loss of a large tree during storm Doris in 2017, space was created in the garden. The project to clear and remove the tree soon escalated, evolving in to the pub/man cave area it is today. We have recycled a lot of internal and external fixtures and fittings ourselves, including: the bar made from old living room floorboards, table from a refurbished Singer sewing machine base and floorboards, seating from wooden pallets and a table from the cable reel used to get electricity 80 meters down to the shed. It has full power, lighting, Wifi, TV, dartboard, fridge, heating and a life time of memorabilia associated to my hobbies and interests, which my wife wouldn't let me put up in the house! Its a fabulous meeting place for friends and family all year round; a haven of friendship, fun and shenanigans!
I cleared the garden space after storm Doris, the base was laid by friends and shed erected over a few months from Feb-Aug 17. It was fully fitted out in time for NYE 2018 with external decking laid for my 50th birthday in March 18.
