This was the only pub in Surrey which remained open during the last year! Big enough for 15people and can be used the whole year round
Having wanted somewhere to display some of my vintage items and pub memorabilia And coming from a large Irish family I always wanted to build an authentic Irish pub in my garden. Having finally found the time, space and roping my brother in law in to help build it I finally managed to finish it during the lockdown period. I named it Joes bar after my late Uncle Joe who would have loved to have sat at the bar with me to have a drink.
I purchased a flat pack log cabin and we built it together from the foundations to the roof learning as we went! all the electrics and interior have been completed by myself and it is my absolute pride and joy. I wanted it to look like it had been there for years rather than newly built and I have built rustic shelving from pallets and left over timber to achieve this. I think it matches the vintage items and pub memorabilia I have been collecting since I was a teenager
It has changed the way we entertain and friends and family can and regularly do enjoy a goodnight out in it! it has been a god send during lockdown and its always going to be there for us to enjoy.
I hope you like the photos and it brings as much joy to you as it does me!
