We transformed into a bar and entertainment area and also a den with sofa tv etc for my two special needs lads to have time for themselves

Other info

This was a labour of love from an old filled to the brim with mainly unused rubbish area to an amazing versatile room. We were even shocked and surprised by the final outcome and surpassed our own vision. We upcycled so many things, used free things and items already owned.

The ceiling was not even visible stacked full of rubbish, filthy and just covered in spider webs. We cleared all and coated with Cuprinol tong oil. The bar top is an old kitchen granite top, and wood tiles, underneath we used two old pine hall cabinets. Behind the bar was created from old and scrap bits off wood. Accessories to add character to the bar. Ikea picture shelf for bottles, donated scaffold plank for glasses, shoe rack on back cabinet to create height, second hand bits. Items donatedfrom a local pub Park Lane that was refurbishing.

Bar stools we found dumped, broken, disgustingly filthy but with alot of TLC we transformed them. Wooden side bar is an old reclaimed oak church pew. Lights off ebay, lamps from charity shops, old sofa, red tables old ones which we upcycled, juke box well there is a story but finally got one and takes pride of place. Red armchair another freebie from a relations garden, picture wall frames ikea and photos all taken by me. It took us 8 weeks and alot of hardwork to create this fabulous place which has already been a lockdown lifeline for our family.
