A HAIR SHED that provides a facility for HAIR and WIG services within a Zen garden and courtyard.
Found in a countryside haven on the outskirts of London. After retiring, this shed was initially built to fill a gap with my time after 46 years in the hairdressing profession. I came to realise I wanted to help those that suffer from hair loss, mostly those who have cancer, alopecia etc. and also still offering hairdressing services on a more personal level. The majority of my services are helping any individuals who need specialist advice regarding loss of hair. A Hair and Wig Specialist (thats me). I am also a part of mynewhair- a registered charity who are in partnership with McMillans.
Features:
Now purposefully changed (I built a zen garden to enhance the calming experience) to provide help with advice, information and support for people experiencing medical hair loss and to give them a little peace and tranquillity whilst suffering with the struggles of hair loss.
I feel that giving people hair that looks natural and attractive, gives them back a little of their confidence to face the world again. For so many people suffering hair loss, this provides the mental health services that is the missing link in their treatment.
The Hair Shed plays a major part in this. Being in my private garden, the service I provide is made extremely personal for individuals and families who would otherwise feel uncomfortable in a commercial salon environment.
More recently, due to the Hair Sheds location in my garden, Sevenoaks Council have given me permission to continue with this wonderful service during lockdown for all cancer patients.
This unique Hair Shed hopes to provide a little calm in the lives of these who need it most, and especially during this awful pandemic.
