    Shed Features

ciRCus is a fun workshop/studio that functions as a live-work space. It is a space for the curious and manifests creativity through materials and machines. From the outside, the building looks like a hip Noodle bar nestled in the woods; whilst the inside reveals a well-equipped holiday cabin with a fully-functioning workshop. The space accommodates professional making machines such as Laser Cutters and Welding equipment alongside a modern open plan Kitchen and Living quarter, and even has room for a shower and toilet. Currently it is open to the public for studio visits.

    Other Shed info

The dream was to create a space where one could happily work and live in a single building even though the enclosed space measures only 4.06 x 5.16 metres big. Numerous careful considerations went into the planning and craftsmanship of the shed. I have experience in Architectural Studies and Product Design so most of the build was carried out by myself i order to reduce costs. The original structure of the shed and entire Free-Hold plot of land was purchased about a year ago. It was a Swiss Chalet styled outbuilding that had no separate plumbing system and very poor insulation. An Italian builder was brought onto the project to help me install a fully functioning bathroom and to better insulate the cabin. Evergreen trees and a Pear tree decorate the garden space around the property.
