My husband was a massive Motorhead fan. He was a cancer survivor and then developed kidney failure. I donated him a kidney and as we were both recovering we started to design a shed. Sadly he then died really suddenly of a heart attack.
It was lockdown and I was really still in shock and lonely. I decided to bring his dream of a decent shed in the garden and then contacted some friends who designed Motorshed.
The metal tusks are my favourite. My father in law did a grand opening on what would have been my husbands birthday. 9 months after he died we were finally able to hold a wake and his close friends came back to the shed after.
There is a visitors book for people to sign and leave him messages and all the pictures on the wall are from a Motorhead colouring in book I had bought him for Christmas. Because he dies I asked his friends if they wanted to colour a picture in and then I would hang them all up.
We have had some amazing times in the shed and I really hope that he can see somehow what I achieved. Also when our old shed was demolished I found number plates from his bikes so also have displayed them on the wall.
The shed was deigned and built by Castleford Engineering who are based in Newton Abott.
