The Trapezium shed used to be a tree house. Using the original posts to form the frame and reusing old wood where possible, the tree house was converted into a shed. The tree had to be cut down sometime back but the remaining tree trunk was included in the new shed. The shed has utilised the garden shape available and hence is a trapezium shape. The shed is now used as a workshop for silversmithing and the tree trunk in the shed will be carved later this year. The shed has electricity and heating and is fully insulated. As I had no previous experience of shed building, you-tube videos were used to guide the build.
A video diary was kept of different stages of the build to keep friends informed during lockdown. The shed has a concrete base and has external feather edge wood cladding painted in forest green Cuprinol ducksback protection. The shed has 3 Perspex windows and a green corrugated bitumen roof. The painted inside walls of plywood sandwich Celetex GA4000 PIR insulation boards to the exterior cladding. The interior has a worktop that has a routed Jaguar on the surface and a shelf has a routed Dragon. A purpose built tool rack has also been attached to one of the walls.
