We are an animal assisted wellbeing service We use our sheds as therapy spaces so participants can be with the animals in a natural setting But the main use of the Hoppy Huts is for our dog friendly cafe We have pet buddy teams dogs and owners who support people who may be feeling anxious about attending a social event The dogs have an enclosed space to run around in and we use the huts for people to chat and enjoy homemade cake and ground coffee We also used the huts in summer as venue for our community arts projects
Our shed build was very traumatic. To save money we did the foundations ourselves. The company hired to erect the huts refused to put them up. We rallied round and found a builder who helped out. As a result we have some very wonky but unique huts that we love as it reflects our quirky nature. We recently had help from volunteers at Autotrader to paint the huts and freshen them up for years more of community fun.
