The shed is a tool store, drinking den, sanctuary, meeting house, party venue, overnight residence, tourist attraction, office adventure playground, retreat, art studio and many other purposes.
The build is timber framed;- that is felled trees squared with adze and joined together. It has a cruck end. The trees were mostly Poplar grown by me by cuttings and felled at maturity. The filling is handmade Georgian brick in herringbone noggin pattern using hydraulic lime mortar. It has beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplace, secret doors, stained glass windows of exceptional design and a green Sedum roof and the suspended floor is recycled barge boards. With the exception of one heavy beam the construction was entirely by me. It is a medieval construction.
