Shed Features

My shed is for my writing which I started as a way to deal with my mental health. I went on to complete a Masters in Creative Writing and am now working on my first book. We live in a small rented house and I have two children so there is not too much space to work. I was inspired by other writers such as Roald Dahl who used their sheds to write in and it is now my peaceful and creative haven.

It was a real community effort. My neighbour helped with the building and taught my husband lots of new ways to work with wood. My friend provided the insulation and wood free of charge and helped to put it up. My husband worked tirelessly on it. My friend gave me a carpet and the school where I work gave me a chair.
