It is a hand built log cabin using logs from a local woods 3 miles from home it is used as a home office, writing and chill out room.

The build concept and prototype was developed in a friend’s barn 3 miles away from where we live, using logs sourced from his woodlands, with each log sized, stripped and seasoned for a year before being used. The walls up to roof height were built during the winter of 2021/22 they are held together solely by timber screws.
The cabin was disassembled and rebuilt on site in the summer of 2022 by another local friend, who also fitted out the interior with recycled scaffolding plank shelving, contoured individually to fit each log, ( he didn’t thank me for that one! ) there is also a built in day bed with hidden storage and a secret Prosecco fridge.
