Our summerhouse may be tiny but rest assured there is enough room for two adults and two whippets to comfortably lounge on the sofa! It is filled with charity shop bargains and car boot sale treasures. This is our favourite place to relax, overlooking a wildlife pond it is the perfect spot to unwind, read a book, and enjoy the sounds of the pond and garden.
We inherited our summerhouse when we purchased our home, we have since painted it throughout and carpeted it with off cuts. We furnished and styled it using almost entirely second hand items, making it a truly individual space. In the evening there is gentle lighting from a combination of candles and solar lanterns, which bring a magical peaceful mood to “Whippets Rest”.
