We originally repurposed our cabin which used to house our hot tub (no longer used) we handbuilt a a full bar with shelves on the wall for drinks, quirky rustic design. It was super cosy and we began to collect beer mats, bar pull signs and metal signs for the ceiling. The Birch and Hare became a centre-piece for parties, which became increasingly more intimate! During the 1st lockdown we decided to extend the structure, building out at the front and adding on around 3 square metre space. We also reconfigured the inside, moving and extending the bar, creating a storage cupboard and extra shelving above. More parties, an ever changing group of family and friends, we decided to add another cabin, cut holes in the sides, build a corridor and hey presto a games room annexe!! We have been given so many items to display, reused items, bought second hand items and are always on the look out for a bargain to pop inside our fab bar.
